SWIMWEAR

"THE MOURNERS"

When you think about beach culture you think about fun, bright colors, and blissful happiness. I wanted to design a collection that would completely oppose to anything beach culture represents so as to create swimwear that would comically contradict it. As I researched the Victorian era where the story is set I came across the bizarre trend of funeral photography and mourning attire.
